Early A-Body LS swap fitment notes

The 1964-1967 cars have a small transmission tunnel. The guide shows the cuts and the filler panel used to open it up.
With the high-clearance Moroso or cast aluminum pan, the pan sits even with the bottom of the front crossmember. An LH8 pan hangs about 1.5 inches lower.
To clear the frame you need high-mount A/C and alternator brackets.
Frame mounts and the outer crossmember brackets go into factory holes.
Your order needs the year, make, model, body style (hardtop or convertible) and transmission, since crossmembers differ.
The guide drops the engine and transmission in with the frame mounts loose, then slides the engine mounts in from each side.
Header installs can mean pulling the starter, valve covers or spark plugs. The headers suit a floor shifter.
Plan on losing the factory clutch Z-bar, and check driveshaft length.

Which cars does the LSX4 kit fit?

The 1964-1967 Chevy Chevelle and El Camino, Pontiac GTO and Tempest, Oldsmobile Cutlass and 442, and Buick Skylark.

Which GTO radiator do I need?

Check the height of your factory radiator core. The 313-9040 radiators are for 15.5 inch tall cores and the 313-9041 radiators are for 17.5 inch tall cores.

Which fuel tank fits a 1965 or 1966 LeMans?

The 1965 Pontiac Lemans tank is for 1965 LeMans and Tempest. The 1965-1967 GTO tank also covers 1966-1967 LeMans and Tempest. The 1964 GTO tank covers 1964 GTO, LeMans and Tempest.

Do the long tube headers have O2 sensor bungs?

No. The 1-7/8 inch long tubes use 3 inch V-band collectors, so plan O2 sensor locations in the rest of the exhaust.
