1977 - 1990 B-body LS Hose & Line Kits

Braided lines for a Box Chevy Caprice or Impala getting an LS. This page holds two tank to rail fuel line kits with a regulator, three cooler line kits split by automatic transmission, and one hose kit for the LS power steering pump.

  • Cooler kits for 4L60E, 4L80E and 6L80E family
  • Fuel kits for returnless LS rails
  • Braided supply hose for power steering

Mounts, crossmember, headers and the Phantom in-tank pump kits live on the 1977-1990 B-Body LS page. The 1977-1990 B-Body LS install guide explains which gearboxes need tunnel work in these cars.

What comes in the Box Chevy line kits

  • Each cooler kit is a complete run from the gearbox to the radiator in braided high pressure hose, fittings included.
  • Only the 6L80E-10L90E cooler kit adds a billet manifold where the lines meet the transmission.
  • Fuel kits use covered PTFE lined braided line and screw together fittings at the rail instead of plastic clips.
  • The steering kit pairs a braided pressure line with a nylon low pressure return.

1977-1990 B-Body line fitment notes

  • The guide says a 4L60E or 4L80E fits these cars with no tunnel changes, so either cooler kit drops in without floor work.
  • A 6L80E or 6L90E needs tunnel work near the tail shaft housing, per the guide, before the 6L80E-10L90E kit can go on.
  • The parent page sells Aeromotive Phantom 200 and 340 LPH in-tank pump kits, not BRP EFI tanks. The fuel kit text pairs 6601-00 and 6605-00 with BRP 255 and 400 LPH tanks.
  • BRP requires its high-mount A/C bracket here because the F-Body A/C does not clear the frame.

BRP product text does not say. The two kits here are written for BRP 255 and 400 LPH EFI tanks.

Does the steering hose kit connect an LS pump to the stock Box Chevy steering box?

BRP describes it as going from the newer LS pump to early or late style boxes. It does not name the 1977-1990 B-Body box.
