1973 - 1987 2WD GM Truck LS Transmission Mount Adapters

Square body C10 and C15 trucks, plus 2WD Blazer and Jimmy, can run a late GM gearbox behind an LS with these adapters. They bolt to a TR-6060, CTS-V T-56, MG9, 6L90E, 8L90E or 10L90E tailshaft so it sits on a regular mount.

  • Bracket location set by your transmission
  • Brackets sit 3 inches above the frame lip
  • 2WD crossmember sold separately

Bracket height and drilling are covered in the 1973-1987 2WD GM truck LS install guide. Engine mounts, headers and tanks are on the 1973-1987 2WD GM truck LS swap page.

Finding the adapter for your truck

  • Square body with a CTS-V T-56 or Camaro TR-6060: the jig welded adapter, black powder coat, hardware in the box.
  • An MG9, the TR-6060 variant behind the CTS-V LSA, needs the MG9 adapter.
  • Order the 6L90E adapter for a 2009-2014 CTS-V automatic.
  • Truck builds with an 8L90E or 10L90E use the one 8L90E adapter, designed for BRP crossmembers.
