1991-1996 B-Body header notes

The guide says the starter must be removed to install headers on this body.
Long tubes are possible on a 91-96 car once the front crossmember frame brace is removed; mid-lengths need no brace removal.
Stock column shift linkage clears the mid-length headers and lines up with the 4L60E shift shaft.
The 98-02 F-Body A/C compressor will not clear the frame, so a MuscleRods high-mount AC bracket is required.

Are there long tube headers for a 1996 Impala SS LS swap?

Yes. BRP lists a 1-7/8 inch ceramic coated long tube header whose listing names the 1991-1996 Caprice, 1994-1996 Impala SS and 1991-1996 Roadmaster, plus a 1-7/8 inch mid-length. Both are on the parent page.

What has to come off for long tubes on a 91-96 Caprice?
