S-10 pickup LS swap fitment notes

On 1994-2003 trucks the frame brackets take the factory bolts and the crossmember brackets bolt to existing frame holes.
On 1982-1993 trucks the passenger crossmember bracket needs two 25/64 inch holes drilled, plus the supplied 1/4 inch spacer.
The passenger crossmember bracket sits a little higher than the driver side bracket. That is by design.
Certain transmissions need the body seam lip in the tunnel bent over for clearance.
To drop the engine and transmission in as one, loosen the body bolts and lift the body slightly.
With BRP headers, pull the steering shaft to fit the driver side header.
High-mount accessories are required, with a Corvette balancer and water pump suggested to leave radiator room. The stock low-mount A/C compressor will not work without heavy frame changes.

Will I need to drill the frame?

On 1994-2003 trucks, no: the crossmember brackets use existing holes. On 1982-1993 trucks the passenger crossmember bracket needs two holes drilled. The guide shows where.

What accessory drive works in an S-10?
