What's in the kit

On 1994-2003 trucks the frame brackets use the factory bolts and the crossmember brackets bolt to existing frame holes. On 1982-1993 trucks the passenger crossmember bracket needs two 25/64 inch holes drilled, and a 1/4 inch spacer is supplied. The passenger bracket sits slightly higher than the driver side bracket by design.
Transmission options
Order the kit for an LS paired with a T-56 or TR-6060, 4L60E to 4L70E, 4L80E or 4L85E, 6L80E to 10L90E, TH400, or Powerglide, TH350 or 4-speed.
Does my transmission need tunnel work?
- The body seam lip in the tunnel may need to be bent over to clear certain transmissions.
Which oil pan works?
This kit uses the LH8 oil pan.
Headers, A/C and accessories
- With BRP headers, remove the steering shaft to install the driver side header.
- The stock low-mount A/C compressor will not work without heavy frame modifications.
- High-mount accessories are required. Factory LS F-Body and GTO accessory systems will not work.
- A Corvette harmonic balancer and water pump with high-mount alternator and A/C bracket kits is suggested to leave room for the radiator. Camaro and truck LS accessories sit farther forward and hit the radiator and fan.
- To install the engine and transmission together, unbolt the body bushings and lift the body slightly off the frame.
