1963 - 1967 Corvette LS Transmission Mount Adapters

Transmission mount adapters for LS swapped 1963-1967 Corvettes running a late GM gearbox. Each one turns a CTS-V or Camaro six-speed, or a 6L90E, 8L90E or 10L90E automatic tailshaft, into a traditional mount pad.

  • TR-6060, MG9 and CTS-V T-56 manuals
  • 6L90E plus 8L90E/10L90E automatics
  • Steel T-56 bracket comes with hardware

The C2 kit bolts a crossmember bracket to your existing crossmember, per the 1963-1967 Corvette LS install guide. Mounts, headers and the fuel tank are on the 1963-1967 Corvette LS swap page.

Matching the adapter to your gearbox

  • Camaro TR-6060 or CTS-V T-56 in a C2: the 3/16 steel bracket, laser cut, CNC bent, jig welded and powder-coated black.
  • MG9, the high-torque TR-6060 from the LSA powered CTS-V: its own bracket.
  • The 2009-2014 CTS-V 6L90E automatic: the 6L90E adapter.
  • 8L90E or 10L90E tailshafts share one adapter, made for BRP crossmembers.

1963-1967 Corvette transmission notes

  • The C2 kit includes a transmission crossmember bracket, two bracket spacers and a polyurethane trans mount.
  • Some late model C2 crossmembers lack the right mounting tabs and may need swapping for an earlier one, possibly with welding.
  • BRP headers for this car are listed for the T-56, 4L60E and 4L65E.
  • The factory clutch Z-bar is not reused, and the driveshaft length changes.

1963-1967 Corvette LS transmission mount FAQ

Does my C2 Corvette crossmember work with the LS kit?

Maybe. The 1963-1967 Corvette guide says some late model crossmembers lack the correct tabs and need replacing with an earlier one, which may take welding.

Which adapter fits a T-56 in a 1963-1967 Corvette?

The Cadillac CTS-V T-56 / standard TR-6060 adapter. The guide lists the T-56 among the gearboxes BRP headers work with in this car.

Will a 6L90E or 8L90E clear a C2 Corvette tunnel?

BRP has not published that. The 1963-1967 Corvette guide does not mention either transmission.

Can I keep the factory clutch linkage in my C2?

No. The guide says the kits will not work with the factory clutch Z-bar.
