Choosing the right adapter

Laser cut, CNC bent 3/16 inch steel in black powder coat: the CTS-V T-56 and Camaro TR-6060 adapter.
An MG9 TR-6060 is the high-torque box BRP lists behind the CTS-V LSA, with its own adapter.
Swapping in the 2009-2014 CTS-V 6L90E means ordering the 6L90E adapter.
The 8L90E adapter also fits a 10L90E tailshaft and is built around BRP crossmembers.

1991-1996 B-Body transmission notes

The B-Body guide says a 4L60E or 4L80E goes in with no tunnel modifications.
A 6L80E or 6L90E needs tunnel work around the tail shaft housing.
With a T-56, the tunnel has to be modified around the shifter.
The 1991-1996 crossmember sits on two frame brackets; the driver side one has a secondary bracket behind it.
The passenger side bracket goes into the original crossmember holes.
Factory column shift linkage lines up with the 4L60E shift shaft and clears mid length headers.

Can I run a 6L90E in a 1994-1996 Impala SS?

The 1991-1996 B-Body guide says the 6L80E and 6L90E fit with tunnel modifications at the tail shaft housing area. Use the 6L90E adapter for a CTS-V gearbox.

Does a T-56 Caprice need floor work?

Yes. The guide says the T-56 needs tunnel modifications around the shifter.

Can I keep the column shifter?

The guide says the stock column shift linkage lines up with the 4L60E shift shaft. It does not say the same for the 6L90E, 8L90E or 10L90E.

Which crossmember do these adapters bolt to?

The automatic adapters are made for BRP crossmembers. BRP lists a 1991-1996 B-Body Sure-Fit crossmember separately.
