1968 - 1982 Corvette LS Gauge Components

Swapping an LS into a 1968-1982 C3 Corvette removes the distributor that a traditional tach was built around. The BRP Tach Adapter rebuilds that signal, and the Oil Pressure Adapter Fitting lets a traditional pressure sensor read the LS.

  • For distributorless LS ignition
  • No LS harness in the box
  • Traditional pressure gauge sensor fitting

The C3 mounts, crossmember bracket and headers are listed on the 1968-1982 Corvette LS page. All chassis share the gauge components hub.

What the C3 gauge parts handle

  • Tach Adapter: controls a factory or aftermarket traditional tachometer or a shift light.
  • Oil Pressure Adapter Fitting: adapts the LS so a traditional pressure gauge sensor can be used.

C3 Corvette gauge notes

  • Wiring between the coils and the adapter is up to you; the BRP LS harness is not part of this listing.
  • BRP lists the same two parts across its LS swap vehicles, with no C3 only fitment.
  • Gauges are not part of the 1968-1982 Corvette install guide.

Information is from the BRP listings. C3 swap specifics are in the 1968-1982 Corvette LS install guide.

1968-1982 Corvette LS gauge FAQ

What makes a C3 Corvette tach work with an LS engine?

The BRP Tach Adapter. It is a tach signal adapter for distributorless ignition, so a traditional tachometer can show rpm.

Will a shift light run from the same adapter?

Yes. BRP lists the Tach Adapter for a traditional tachometer or a shift light.

Does BRP have an oil pressure part for an LS swapped C3?

Yes, the Oil Pressure Adapter Fitting, so a traditional pressure gauge sensor can be used on the LS.
