1955 - 1957 Chevy LS Hose & Line Kits

Fuel, transmission cooler and power steering lines for a Tri-Five Chevy running an LS. The fuel kits run from the EFI tank to the fuel rail, the cooler kits run from the transmission to the radiator, and the steering kit connects the LS pump to the steering box. Every kit uses black covered stainless braided hose.

  • Fuel kits for 255 or 400 LPH tanks
  • Cooler lines for Powerglide through 10L90E
  • LS pump to steering box hose kit

Picking a tank first? The 1955-1957 EFI tanks are on the 1955-1957 Chevy LS page, with the mounts, crossmember and headers. The 1955-1957 Chevy LS install guide covers the engine install.

What is in each Tri-Five line kit

  • Fuel kits: PTFE (Teflon) lined stainless braided line, clamps, fittings and 2-piece screw together rail fittings.
  • 255 LPH fuel kit: an OE style filter and regulator combo set to 58 psi, the GM LS spec.
  • 400 LPH fuel kit: an adjustable regulator with a vacuum and boost port, plus a fuel filter.
  • Cooler kits: braided high pressure hose and fittings from gearbox to radiator. The 6L80E-10L90E kit adds a billet manifold.

Choosing lines for a 55, 56 or 57

  • Order the fuel kit that matches the pump in your tank: 6601-00 for a 255 LPH tank, 6605-00 for a 400 LPH tank.
  • Both fuel kits are built for returnless fuel rails. BRP product text points very early LS engines with a return line on the rail to a separate kit.
  • Cooler kit 4L60E also covers Powerglide, TH350, TH400, 200R4 and 4L70E. The 4L80E kit covers the 4L85E too.
  • The steering hose kit goes from the newer LS pump to either an early or a late style steering box.

Kit details come from BRP product names and descriptions. Engine install steps are in the 1955-1957 Chevy LS install guide.

1955-1957 Chevy LS hose and line kit FAQ

Which fuel line kit goes with a 1955-1957 Chevy EFI tank?

Match the kit to the tank pump. The Tri-Five tanks come with either a 255 LPH or a 400 LPH pump, and BRP pairs 6601-00 with 255 LPH and 6605-00 with 400 LPH.

Do I need a separate fuel pressure regulator?

No for most builds. The 255 LPH kit has a filter and regulator combo set to 58 psi, and the 400 LPH kit has its own adjustable regulator.

Which cooler line kit fits a TH350 or Powerglide in my Tri-Five?

The 4L60E cooler line kit. BRP lists it for Powerglide, TH350, TH400, 200R4, 4L60E and 4L70E.

Will the power steering hose fit my factory steering box?

BRP says the kit runs from the new style LS pump to both early and late style boxes. It does not list Tri-Five boxes by name.
