Planning a 65 Impala LS conversion? The Muscle Rods LSX25 kit mounts an LS engine and transmission in a 1965-1970 Chevy Impala. When you order, pick your body (coupe or convertible) and the transmission you plan to run. The kit is designed and made in the USA.
What's in the kit

The frame brackets line up with the factory holes in the chassis.
Transmission options
The coupe and convertible versions can each be ordered for an LS paired with a T-56 or TR-6060, 4L60E to 4L70E, 4L80E or 4L85E, 6L80E to 10L90E, TH400, or Powerglide, TH350 or 4-speed. Where the crossmember goes depends on the transmission:
- 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E and 4L75E: the crossmember mounts on the factory frame brackets. You drill one new hole in each bracket, and the center mounting tab points to the rear of the car.
- 4L80E, 6L80E, 6L90E, 8L90E and 6-speed manuals: the crossmember sits further back, on extra brackets supplied in the kit. The brackets weld or bolt to the inside of the frame. Bolting them on means drilling mounting holes plus a 1 inch access hole on the outside of the frame.
