Put an LS in your 1984-1991 Chevrolet Corvette with the MuscleRods LSX31 kit. It includes two engine mounts, a C-beam bracket, an engine-mount bolt kit and a C-beam bolt kit.
What your Corvette swap needs
- Oil pan: factory GM 1998-2002 F-body LS pan. Other pans sit too deep at the front to clear the frame. The kit does not include an oil pan.
- Intake: use a car-style intake. A truck intake is too tall for the stock hood.
- Accessories: low-mount alternators and low-mount A/C compressors do not clear the frame.
Transmission notes
- Order options: T56 or 4L60E-4L70E.
- T56: the C-beam must be shortened and new 1/2 inch holes drilled.
- 4L60E through 4L75E: no C-beam modification.
- Keeping the stock ZF six-speed takes extra parts listed in the guide.
